Supply Chain Security Village is run by practitioners, in the open, in their own time. No company owns it. These are the people behind it — and there's room for more.
How we work
A few things that shape everything else we do.
Nobody gets paid
This runs on evenings and weekends. Everyone here has a day job — the Village is the thing we do because we think it matters.
No company owns it
Vendor-neutral by design. No sponsor gets to shape the curriculum, and no product gets a free plug in a talk.
Built by doing
Every challenge and workshop is made by someone who has actually had to solve the problem — not adapted from a slide deck.
You don’t need a security title
“Supply chain” means different things depending on where you sit. For a developer it’s the packages they install. For a logistics or procurement team it’s suppliers, shipping routes, customs, and counterfeit parts. For a manufacturer it’s the firmware on a component sourced three tiers down.
Our hands-on work is mostly on the software side — that’s where our experience is, and where the gap is widest. But the failure patterns rhyme: implicit trust in an upstream you never audited, and no way to prove what changed along the way. If you work anywhere along that chain, you’ll recognise the problem — and you probably have something to teach the rest of us.
